StoryBoards!

Next step was story boards. give 1 minute of script(1 page) an intro for alive action film was to be thumbed out much like the concept art.
they probably are not much too look at though.
the camera is pulled into a stormy sea where a sub is.

Then there was Concept Art

the next stage was to develop through research, concept art of the main hall of the inn.
research developed on the image far left as items and decor style of an 1800s inn came together. a floor plane was draw up to give an idea of space and the props laid out.
next came the task of creating thumbnails. these where done as value thumbs to get a quick feel for the scenes look mood and lighting. once these where worked out the final pic below was developed to illustrate what the scene would look like in an animation/film. i also did a thumb for an inward shot at night.
